Our feature product this week is Jeanna's Jewels here is word or two from Jenna herself.

How did you get started making jewelry?

When I was 7 years old I met a lady at an arts festival who makes expensive jewelry. I really liked her work and she liked me! We kept in touch with my mother's help and she sent me a beading kit. I then began to make bead buddies. My desire for beading then expanded into Lisa Frank kits for girls...eventually my mother suggested I try using better quality beads and that's officially when Jenna's Jewels began. I was 14 when we started my business. I'm now 17.

What kinds of things does Jenna's Jewels make?

I make mostly anything out of beads. I especially like to make bracelets, necklaces (both made of all beads and pendants to hang from a chain), earrings, brooches, bookmarks and I have even tried making rings, but they are a bit harder to do.


Can you tell me about the quality of your jewelry?

I use quality silver findings (beads, beading components, clasps, etc) and will even use solid, filled or plated gold if the customer wants. I use swarovski crystals and fire polished czech beads as well. I use the best quality beading wire available on the market. It is made by taking 49 thin strands of steel and braiding it together, then covered in nylon. It is very sturdy.

Does Jenna's Jewels do custom pieces?

All of my work is custom to the customer's specifications. Because of this, it takes a little longer to get your piece to you. You tell me what you want, how you want it and what size. Beads are not ordered until these specifications are met. From start to finish, it usually takes 3-4 weeks to complete the process of ordering to shipping your product. Some items are just made for fun and may be available for immediate purchase.
