Hi, my name is Mandy and I am a stay at home mom of three adventurous kids. It being a priority of my husband and I that I stay at home with the kiddo's I had to become a serious bargain shopper, but honestly, I was raised this way so I didn't have any problems adjusting and I love it!

However, as much as I love to bargain shop, I am the type that will walk into a store pick up an arm full of things and put it all back before I leave the store, I am trying to allow myself to actually spend the money now! And all of my closest friends can attest to this as it drives them (and the hubby) bonkers.

The one thing I absolutely love to shop for (and more likely that I will buy them than put them back on the shelf) are shoes. If I see a shoe sale my heart starts to beat faster and I feel giddy. There is something about a nice pair of shoes that just makes my day/outfit/mood change/etc...

I am so excited that Steals and Deals has become a hit! It brings my sister and I closer even though we are hundreds of miles apart. The two of us can be night and day (her night/me day) but we will always agree on one thing, and that is bargain shopping!




Hi, my name is Abby. I too am the mother of three adventurous children. Our mother raised us to look for the bargains when we were shopping and to this day I love the site of a clearance rack. After living in Alaska for three years where shopping is minimal to nonexistent I became quite the online shopper. Most of the bargains you see listed from me will come from all online stores.

We started doing product reviews this summer and it has turned into a really fun addition to the blog for both us and the readers as every Friday we have at least one giveaway for the reader to enter their chance to win. Mandy and I both are committed to providing quality products and we will not list anything we do not stand behind 100%. If we do not like a product we will mail it back to the company. (We don't do negative reviews) So if you see a product review up on our site you know either Mandy or I have tried it out and have given it our stamp of approval.

I have to say this blog has been a really fun outlet and definitely has given Mandy and I many hours of ideas to talk about. I agree with her we are night and day (her night/me day ;) But I think that our two completely different takes on things balances out to make this lovely blog the better!
